Come to St. Andrews on Saturday afternoon July 24 from 1pm to 4 pm. If you already play any instrument and can count to 4, you’re halfway there. Bells can also be your first attempt at making music. Let’s try for a mixture of teens and adults for this session. We will practice hand/eye coordination, ring and damp, stopped sounds, mallets and marts, and you can find out what the Singing-Bell technique is. Rena Leatherman has been a ringer, director, and clinician since 1968 and has been working with bells in this area since 1975. Every April the handbell groups in Greene County get together for a Spring Ring – 10 choirs – 100 people of all ages ringing together. Come give bell ringing a try and register now.
