We are pleased to have the Rev. Vanessa Oliver Ward preach on Sunday, October 30th at Mosaic Church. Rev. Ward is a dynamic preacher, speaker, and teacher as she is a Lecturer of Biblical Studies at United Theological Seminary. Rev. Ward and her husband, Daryl, were co-pastors of Omega Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. They have recently “retired” but continue to do ministry in many ways. When the Wards began their service at Omega, the congregation had around 100 members. It now has between 1,500 and 2,000 members. The Omega Development Corporation, a nonprofit created by the church, has several projects in the works. Rev. Vanessa continues to work for the corporation, which broke ground in March of 2019, building an 81-unit apartment community for adults aged 55 and older. The community is called the Omega Senior Lofts. It is a $13-million project that was completed in 2020. We are grateful to have Rev. Vanessa Oliver Ward preach at Mosaic.
