Join us throughout September as we support the Gem City Diaper Bank’s Basic Needs Program to help end “diaper need” in our community. We are excited to announce our ongoing conversations about becoming a satellite location of the Gem City Diaper Bank, amplifying our efforts to reach more families in need.

Why This Matters:

Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep an infant or toddler clean, dry, and healthy. The impact of diaper need is significant:

Widespread Issue: 1 in 2 American families reports experiencing diaper need.
High Costs: Disposable diapers can cost from $70 to $100 per month per baby.
Limited Support: No state or federal child safety-net program allocates dollars for diapers.

Health Risks: When families run short of diapers, babies spend an extended period of time in soiled diapers, leading to severe diaper rash or urinary tract infections.

Mental Health Impact: Diaper need is associated with stress, anxiety, and depression for parents.

Daycare Requirements: Most daycare facilities require families to provide disposable diapers for their babies.

How You Can Help:
Donate Disposable Diapers: There is a strong need for sizes 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Additional Items: Pull-ups, wipes, and period products are also welcome!
Let’s come together to support our community and ensure every baby has access to clean, dry, and healthy diapers. Your contributions can make a significant difference in the lives of many families.
